Walking into the Tango. Embrace

Welcome to the world of Argentine tango! This collection will get you acquainted with the elements of this dance that represent the base upon which your whole dance will be built and help you tell your first tango story.

Chapter 1. Embrace. An Act of Beauty

In this chapter you'll learn the first most important element in Argentine tango, that you will be using throughout the whole and every dance. It will be there to accompany you through your entire tango journey. Embrace is already dancing.

Chapter 2. Music of the Couple

Embrace is that magic element that connects you to your partner and keeps you there, which is essential to be able to create your dance together. In order to be in tune with him/her, you need to find that music of your couple.

Chapter 3. Walking Together

It's time for your first walk. In this chapter men will learn about forward walk. And your main goal will be to find and keep harmony in your embrace, while projecting energy that will be received by the follower and determine her to step.

Chapter 4. Harmony of the Couple

A chapter that covers technical aspects for the ladies and for the men, of the exercise on walk in Argentine tango, demonstrated in the previous chapter.

Chapter 5. Dance floor. Starting the Journey

You'll learn how tango happens on the milonga dance floor, the direction you have to keep while dancing in order to also be in tune with the other couples, not just with your partner. The ladies will explore their first steps forward.

Chapter 6. Insights into Walk

You'll go back to the exercise that combines side and frontal walks, but this time there will be added changes in the contact between the lower bodies of the partners. Prepare to get into more depth of the walk in Argentine tango.

Chapter 7. Create the Story

In this chapter you’ll combine all the elements you have worked on until now, like the side, front and back walks, the search of direction and of the limit of the dance floor. You’ll have now enough words to tell your first tango story.
